The space biome is to o with what is extra terrestrial which in other could describe what is outside our atmosphere which implies it can still be at any era you please as it has nothing to do with what’s inside the atmosphere. The space biome is a completely different world or I could say planet so there would be different life and no steampunk to be seen however the fellow players of Deepworld have invaded and placed there 19th century belongings scattered along the surface and mining its core till there is nothing left whilst they trade completely and utterly floating with distant space!

And there's plenty of examples of space travel stories in Victorian era literature

Should just have a command for mechanical signs that's just like *time* that shows the deepworld time, and the day/ month/ year.
And it updates whenever triggered... or just.. put a ui element in or something that's like "4th-day the Twelthyist, 1468"
