    We are 50% full now. That's 50 entrants. I think no publicity is needed as unlike official comps, 100 is the limit here. Lots of people would be disappointed.

    Just ask yourself: If this we're a common spawn/paint bunker in the game, would I find this/these items in it? If the answer is no, don't place them.

    What about a rare jet bunker with the large steam jet so it’s available for everyone?

    @AMWhy Is it even allowed for other players to build in your space? .-. I wanted to add more stuff.
    I know I was suppose to protect the area I wanted to build.
    EDIT: The protectors are gone. But the blocks are still there. Will I get karma if I mine it?

    Everyone has a dedicated 100x100 area which is more than enough. Violations shouldn't happen. I'll look into it.

    Not sure about karma - it will be removed at some point.

    Just a thought, why not instead of being for spawns only, the above ground structures could be expanded to encompass randomly generated structures too? It would be nice to fill temperate worlds with more town-like areas instead of just scattered houses

    This is a reply to Arcane from the SSotD thread.


    the judges want simple spawn/bunker because it probably will be implemented in the future.

    'Probably' is the wrong word. There's every chance they won't, but we are setting the competition up so that they can be.


    they want something that won't seem too out of place so basically basing on the original bunker. that's why having competitions where the entries will probably most likely be implemented in game limits people's ideas what to build.

    The bunker can be as pretty and creative as you want - as long as it:
    a) works as a spawn and allows easy access to mining the world.
    b) doesn't have lots of rare items, making it impractical for inclusion in the game.

    It doesn't have to look like the original spawn at all.

    I’m a bit confused about the builds. There are several that I thought looked great but were told to make them simpler. Could someone expand how simple the builds should be, I understand size req. and no rares but that didn’t seem to be the problem with these builds?

    @AMWhy thank you for clearing things up, also heard from someone, "the smaller the bunker is, the better", that has made me confused as to why you allowed large protector.

    Also I'm going to help people who have built their entries that don't much up the whole point of the competition cause I think almost everyone in the competition thinks it's just to make "spawn" and "bunker" but they don't know that this competition is based on upgrading the bunker or spawn look and implementing the entries in game.

    I think the 'smaller the better' comment was misinterpreted. This is specifically for a world spawn. What I originally said was that the build should not take a long time to exit. Imagine teleporting to a new world, ready to explore. The last thing you want to do is spend ages exiting the spawn point.

    I don't think bunkers have a strict size constraint. In fact, imo bunkers should be a bit more complicated for what the paintings are worth. So, as long as you don't use rares, and keep in mind a bunker model that'd fit ingame, I think a single large pro build shouldn't be a bad idea at all. Atleast that's my point of view.

    As long as the paint bunker can be completed by all players (if time is not a constraint), then no problem.
