I know this is a stupid question, but what is "trolling?"
edited January 2013
Trolling, my dear Watson, is the art of making people expect something, but do the complete opposite! (At least, that's my definition!) It could also be just messing with other peoples' heads. An example would be if someone was verbally spamming or COMPLETELY talking off topic either in chat or on forums.
Check Wikipedia if I'm just confusing you more
From my experience, it is someone who intentionally creates chaos among others, simply for the sake of creating chaos.
They are really looking to get an emotionally based response from someone, but have nothing to gain by doing so – and they fully understand that. I would assume there could be instances where a new player could be a “troll” unintentionally, but it is typically on purpose – intent is really the key here.
Applying Woturr to the Urrth, to prevent the Ayerr from stoking the Phyrre.
To add on, griefing is a form of trolling.
Back from the dead...maybe?
Trolling is like placing a "mine" in front of someones door to their house
- Also – I hate to sound cliché, but there really are not any stupid questions. If you don’t know, you don’t know & if you don’t ask, you may never know. Believe me, in-game, I have asked PLENTY of “stupid” questions.
Trolls take pleasure in annoying people. They're nice guys..... Ahem.
And never feel bad about asking questions!
