This is why I love having a dual boot laptop. Mac and Windows, if windows currupts a USB because lets face it that's happened to all of us, I can plug it into my OSX partion and fiddle around with it for an hour or so, and several formats later the USB is working again. I don't have my data, but at least I have my USB.

^ the USB wasn't the problem. My USB is still fine. The problem is that it corrupted one of my Unity game projects so I couldn't open the project. Luckily I found I had that project saved somewhere else.
  • I have been doing a lot of reading lately on how to grow a player base for my game(s).

The general consensus is that it is NOT easy, period. The second consensus that I keep reading is this: (I thought this version summed it up nicely)

    16. Updates are not coming fast enough

Let us end with an easy one: social and multiplayer games need to be kept alive. If you want to retain users on the long run, you need to keep them busy or give them a reason to come back. Regular and substantial game updates, every 1 to 3 months, are key to staying in the mind of your users.

If your updates are slow, chances are your users will not only uninstall the game, but they might also forget to check it again later.

Read and learn Bytebin, I like deepworld and would hate to see it go.

also, this is the link of the website that I was reading: http://www.gamedonia.com/blog/16-things-game-developers-should-do-to-improve-player-retention
